I am in my third year of teaching at Harding University in Searcy, AR. I am an assistant professor of Education in the Cannon-Clary College of Education. I train and supervise graduate level counselors in the Professional Counseling Program for Clinical and School Counseling.
I began my work at Harding University in the College of Bible and Religion. I worked there as an instructor of Youth and Family Ministry for two years. I taught undergraduate classes related to marital preparation/enrichment and Christian Counseling. I continue to teach in the Master of Ministry Program with a focus on Christian Counseling and Family Ministry.
I am a native of Henderson, TN. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Child & Family Studies from Freed-Hardeman University, a Masters Degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary and an Education Specialist Degree in Counseling from Harding University.
I have been married to Dana for eleven years and have two daughters.
I am trained to provide mental health and addictions counseling for those in need. I am a nationally certified counselor and licensed to practice as a professional counselor in AR. I am also licensed to provide individual and group supervision for those seeking licensure as a licensed associate counselor in the state of Arkansas. I am also a certified facilitator and trainer for the Prepare/Enrich Program.
My ministry emphases have been in teaching, spiritual formation, youth/family life, and counseling. Prior to coming to Harding University, I ministered for congregations in OH, TN, and PA. I have participated in mission efforts to Nicaragua, Mexico, and Canada.
